The museum's seat is the building of the former inn from 1794. The permanent exhibition includes basic sections of material culture of the Silesian highlanders such as shepherding, weaving, woodworking, and agricultural tools. You can see the peculiarities of men's and women's folk costumes and the most beautiful examples of folk art. The interior of the former hen house is attractive to tourists. The exhibition is supplemented by temporary exhibitions on various subjects. The museum has a rich collection of professional paintings: Czesław Kuryatto, Ludwik Konarzewski, Jan Wałach, Paweł Steller, as well as antique prints, archives and a valuable collection of old photographs. The Beskid Museum in Wisła, which has been a branch of the Cieszyn Museum since its inception, was opened on August 16, 1964 during the First Week of Beskid Culture in Wisła.
